This Role

ATC’s Data Centre Installers (DCIs) provide an essential service to our clients across Europe. They work inside our clients’ data centres delivering, positioning, and installing server racks to build their cloud infrastructure. Safety, security and customer service are the priorities for all ATC employees.

The DCI role provides candidates with opportunities to learn and develop. There are pathways to delivery supervisor, cabling technician, or team leader, and training and mentorship are provided. Candidates can also travel with work as part of ATC’s Mobilisation Team.

Role Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Attend clients’ sites on time, with all required equipment, uniform, procedures and documentation, and PPE.
  • Unloading, unpacking with power tools and positioning customers’ IT hardware (server racks).
  • Lifting up to 30-40 kg is required, with occasional exertion up to 50kg (using safe lifting methods).
  • Cabling server racks by patching and dressing fibre and copper cables (in certain regions, and training will be provided).
  • Providing industry-leading customer service levels by acting professionally with clients and colleagues at all times.
  • Following clients’ procedures and requirements, including health and safety, and security.
  • Communicating with colleagues, including managers, planners, team leaders and supervisors, in a consistent, timely, and efficient manner. Reports include arrival times, delays, safety concerns, and completion times.
  • Completing daily checklists and providing reports on daily activities or tasks, including other general administration tasks.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time in line with your skills and competencies.

Candidate Requirements

The role requires flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and customer requirements, so the candidate must be comfortable working under pressure and on strict timelines. The candidate must be adaptable while performing tasks, ready to change priorities and maintain professional communications with clients, colleagues and vendors. The successful candidate will be required to possess and demonstrate the following:

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with high levels of attention to detail.
  • Valid class B driving licence with a good driving record.
  • Basic experience with hand and power tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Email.
  • Language proficiency: B1 level in English and A2 level in the country of employment.

The following qualifications, skills and experience would be an advantage.

  • Prior experience in a data centre, logistics or construction environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and travel for work.
  • Ability to complete checklists in Excel (or Teams) based on daily activities.
  • Prior experience with the installation of structured cabling, including fibre and copper.

Regional Co-Ordinator (Milan)

Main Purpose of the Job

The Regional Coordinator for a region will work as part of a new team to represent ATC at customers’ sites and with local vendors. By being a physical and visible presence, the coordinator will ensure the highest standards of customer service are achieved and maintained at customer collection and delivery points. The coordinator will enable ATC’s relationships with customers to be strengthened and open up new opportunities for mutual business.

The Regional Coordinator will act as ATC’s point of contact at customers’ sites, creating a frictionless channel of communications by being a ‘go to’ person. The coordinator will manage the delivery of ATC’s service levels for our clients and with our vendors. Working in partnership with ATC’s Management and the Planning Team, the RC will monitor the performance of partners and sub-contractors to ensure they are aligned with the needs of our clients, to ensure that all expectations are consistently and professionally achieved.

The Regional Coordinator will report to the Data Centre Project Manager and work closely with the Senior Management and Planning Team. The coordinator will represent ATC’s best interests at all times, acting as the eyes and ears for ATC while at the same time maintain and improving customers’ relationships. To be a strong pro-active physical presence with customer on their sites, gaining the trust of customers through direct engagement. Being accessible to customer(s) and building a strong rapport with them. Reporting on vendor performance and in conjunction with ATC Planning Team suggesting improvements to overall customer(s) experience. Proactively being one step ahead of any potential issues that may arise and advising on solutions.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

  • Act as a point of contact for customers and vendors in the region and develop trusted relationship with all of them
  • Be accessible to customer(s), providing feedback on all inquiries using open and timely communications
  • On a daily basis interact with ATC’s management on all aspects of customer relationships in the region.
  • Alerting ATC Management of any issues or changes in customer requirements and suggest improvements if applicable
  • Actively seek customers feedback so we can learn and grow together, and also enjoy in their satisfaction

 

OPERATIONAL

  • As we are working at customers sites physical presence of ATC’s representative is something we are depending on, for deliveries and/or collections
  • Ensuring that all H&S and security protocols are followed, also please alert if changes occur and confirm all customer procedures have been adhered to.
  • Update/contact customers, partners and ATC’s Planning team with the status of collections and/or deliveries ETA’s, Arrival conformations, site departures…
  • Providing feedback on the performance of personnel provided by ATC’s vendors.
  • Reporting and liaising on KPIs with ATC’s management
  • Ensuring customers’ SLAs and SOPs are understood and communicated to vendors and ATC’s Planning Team
  • Continually documenting and updating all customer / sub-contractor contact details
  • On occasion may be required to visit/attend other European sites, and please advise if anything can be implemented from Region that you represent
  • As we empower learning and development, from time to time you’ll be asked to perform other duties or participate in projects in line with your skills, experience, competencies, or possible areas you want to learn

 

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A full driving licence is required, covering commercial vehicles up to 3,500kgs.
  • Excellent command of English
  • Able to deal with changing priorities and deadlines but don’t push productivity over the quality of service
  • Being experienced in IT cabling work and reading floor drawing plans is a big plus but if not we’ll provide additional training
  • A problem-solving attitude is always acceptable

Il Ruolo

Gli Installatori di Data Center (i DCI) di ATC forniscono un servizio essenziale ai nostri clienti in tutta l’Europa. Lavorano all’interno dei data center dei nostri clienti consegnando, posizionando e installando armadi rack per server al fine di costruire la loro infrastruttura di cloud. Sicurezza, protezione e servizio al cliente costituiscono le priorità per tutti i dipendenti di ATC.

Il ruolo di un DCI offre ai candidati opportunità per imparare e per crescere. Esistono percorsi per diventare supervisore della consegna, tecnico di cablaggio, team leader, con formazione e tutoraggio forniti. I candidati possono inoltre viaggiare per lavoro facendo parte di una Mobilisation Team (Squadra di mobilitazione).

 

Requisiti e Responsabilità del Ruolo

  • Presentarsi in orario ai siti dei clienti, con attrezzature richieste, uniforme, procedure e documentazione, nonché i DPI.
  • Scaricare, disimballare con utensili elettrici e posizionare il hardware IT dei clienti (armadi rack per server).
  • È richiesto sollevamento fino a 30-40 kg, con occasionali sforzi fino a 50 kg (avvalendosi di metodi di sollevamentosicuro).
  • Cablaggio di armadi rack per server attraverso collegamento e rivestimento di cavi in rame e in fibbra ottica (in alcune regioni, sarà inoltre fornita la formazione).
  • Fornire livelli leader nel settore del servizio clienti, comportandosi in modo professionale in ogni occasione, sia con i clienti che con i colleghi.
  • Rispettare procedure ed esigenze dei clienti, compresa la salute, la sicurezza e la protezione.
  • Comunicare in modo coerente, puntuale ed efficace con colleghi, inclusi: manager, progettisti, team leader e supervisori. Rapporti comprendono tempi di arrivo, ritardi, questioni relative alla sicurezza e tempi di compimento.
  • Compilare checklist giornaliere e fornire rapporti sull’attività e/o compiti giornalieri, comprese altre mansioni di amministrazione generale.
  • Ogni altro incarico che può venire di tanto in tanto affidato, in linea con le vostre abilità e competenze.

Requisiti nei confronti del candidato

Il ruolo richiede la flessibilità e la capacità di adattarsi a situzioni mutevoli e ai requisiti del cliente, di consequenza il candidato deve sentirsi a suo agio lavorando sotto pressione e con rigide scadenze. Al momento di svolgere le mansioni il candidato deve essere flessibile, pronto a cambiare le priorità e a mantenere comunicazioni professionali con clienti, colleghi e fornitori.

Al candidato di successo sarà richiesto il possesso e la dimostrazione di quanto segue:

  • Spiccate abilità organizzative e di problem solving con attenzione al dettaglio ad alto livello.
  • Patente di guida di classe B valida, con un buon record di guida.
  • Esperienza basica con attrezzi manuali ed elettrici.
  • Esperienza di Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams e posta elettronica.
  • Conoscenze linguistiche: inglese a livello B1 e A2 nel paese dell’impiego.

 

Le seguenti qualifiche, abilità ed esperienze costituiranno un vantaggio:

  • Precedente esperienza presso data centre, ambienti logistici o di costruzioni.
  • Abilità di essere flessibili e di viaggiare per lavoro.
  • Abilità di compilare checklist nel programma Excel (o Teams) in base alle attività giornaliere.
  • Precedente esperienza di intallazione di cablaggi strutturati, compresi cavi in fibbra ottica e in rame.
