ATC Celebrate the Graduation of First Apprentice from the Logistics Associate Apprenticeship Programme

The team at ATC are delighted to congratulate Ryan Webster on being our first apprentice to complete the two-year Logistics Associate Apprenticeship programme at TUDublin. Well done, Ryan! This accolade is a great family achievement for Father & Son, as Alan, Ryan’s father, is a long-standing member of our Planning Team. Ryan will now graduate in late September this year with a L6 Higher Certificate in Logistics.

A Passion for Education

We are passionate about education and view every challenge as an opportunity to be innovative and sharpen our skills and knowledge – no matter what level we are in the company. We constantly question our methods and embrace mentoring and cross-training within our team both internally and externally from industry bodies hence why ATC has supported the LAA programme since the very start.

Ryan was joined in 2020 by our latest apprentice Jeffrey Boyce, who has just completed his first year’s studies on the programme.

LAA Recruitment Opportunities

Every September, we look to onboard a new apprentice onto our programme. For anyone reading this blog who are interested in learning more, please reach out to us by filling out our contact form.

About the LAA Programme

The LAA was born out of the need to address the skills shortage within the Irish Freight, Logistics, Shipping and Distribution industries. As the economy grows, there is an increasing need to fill these skilled and knowledgeable roles. ATC view the LAA programme as an essential gateway for new talent to enter our industry and a solid path to becoming a logistics and supply chain professional.

The LAA Programme Embraces Blended Learning

ATC endorse the LAA’s values and beliefs, as they align with our own views of increasing professionalism within our service industry. As I mentioned in a previous blog, the blended learning approach of the LAA programme makes complete sense, as we see our apprentices gain valuable work experience, on the job, while learning the theory behind industry practices in a classroom environment.

Thank You!

For their dedication and commitment we must thank Jane O’Keffee and her team in MTU, Declan Allen and his team in TUD, Anna Gorecka, programme manager from FTAI, along with industry peers. It is this wealth of experienced industry resources that make the programme the success that it is today and that it will only continue to grow from strength to strength.

Well done again, Ryan!
